Job Description

We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant committed to delivering the best patient care experience possible. We combine technology with modern care. Essential Functions

Z

Verifies patient information by interviewing patients; recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit.

Z

Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.

Z

Provide a variety of lab duties and tasks per facility protocols to include, but not limited to instructing patients, completing logs and forms, perform finger-sticks, urine tests, stool tests, and injections under appropriate supervision.

Maintain inventory of lab and exam room supplies and ensure timely ordering.

Z

Clean exam rooms daily as per protocol, and wash and disinfect the lab and all sinks on a daily basis. Clean medical instruments as assigned.

Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding electronic medical records; keeping patient information confidential.

Z

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.

Z

Position requires being trained to be a back-up for certain admin duties.

Z

Work a flexible schedule including weekends & holidays, as necessary.

Education & Experience

Z

Prefer 2 years clinic or medical office experience.

Z

Requires high school diploma/equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

Z

Knowledge of Electronic Health Records and Electronic Practice Management Systems preferred.

Z

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Z

Current CPR Certification (from approved American Heart Association).

Z

Ability to build rapport with patients.

Z

Above average written and verbal communication skills

Work as a team with other department heads and staff
